Welcome ta everyone who seeks infermation about tha Emerald Companions alliance! A pleasure ta have ya stop by our fine hall. Its always nice ta have new folks stop by an say 'ello.
Tha Emerald Companions is an alliance a family an friends. We formed officially on February 27, 2005, bu' all a tha guilds tha' make up this fine alliance has all been friends long before tha formation. We enjoy our close feel an enjoy each others company greatly. Wer a folk that strive ta help whenever wer able and leap at tha chance ta meet new people. Wer often seen in many places in tha realm rangin from tha frontiers ta tha intericate root work a tha underground forest of tha catacombs. Its been said wer everywhere all at once some times. <laughs good naturedly>
Ifin yer interested in joinin tha Emerald Companions yer more then welcome ta say an read tha alliance charter posted over there on tha wall. <points to a large decorated paper neatly attached to the wall across from the front door> An a course ifin ya have questions or wan' ta apply after ya have read tha charter, we'd love ta have ya leave us a message (In the Public Alliance section).
Alliance Charter:
Alliance Council: The Emerald Companions alliance works on an Alliance Council system to make all major decisions regarding the Alliance. The Council is composed of one representative from each guild within the alliance. Each guild decides which person they will appoint as their representative to the council. This Council has the power to add or remove a guild in the alliance, vote on proposed changes to the Charter, aid in the settling of problems between more then two guilds and address other general alliance welfare issues as they appear.
Event Council: The Alliance Event Council is charged with the important (and rather fun) duty of hosting alliance wide events. The council is composed of volunteers from the guilds within the alliance who wish to help coordinate and host events. Event council members are requested to host at least one alliance event per month and encouraged to hold as many as they would like. The Event council is designed to help build stronger friendships between alliance members as well as to introduce potential alliance members to the alliance. If a guild is interested in joining the Emerald Companions, it is almost certain that they can expect a letter from an Event Council member.
Realm vs Realm Council: The Alliance RvR Council is charged with the task of organizing frontier ventures for the alliance. The council is composed of volunteers from the guilds within the alliance who wish to share their knowledge of the frontiers. RvR Council members gather to share strategies, tactics, leadership experiences, and ect. The RvR Council is requested to hold regular frontier events for the alliance, helping to further the ability of the alliance to successfully defeat the foes of our realm.
Alliance Chat Policy: The Emerald Companions is a role play alliance. Alliance chat is primarily role play, based upon the concept of the "winds of communication." The Companions utilize magical winds to communicate with one another until they can meet face to face. Once face to face, players also have use of the alliance hall for a warm fire, a friendly chat and perhaps a mug of fine drink. We follow this format to allow maximum role play opportunities for everyone within the alliance. Out of Character (ooc) chat is acceptable within the alliance channel as long as it is flagged with a (( )), ( ), [ ], or other visible means. We ask that ooc speech be flagged to avoid confusion between role play and ooc chat - this way neither interrupts each other. All alliance chat whether role play or ooc must carry respect for your fellow realm mates. Degrading of race, ethnicity, religion and gender as well as the use of profanity and other aggressive speech is not acceptable. If a disagreement breaks out, please take the conversation to a chat group to work it out between the parties involved. If the matter can not be settled within the cg, speak with the GM of your guild about the matter and they will help in the settling of the matter.
Call To Arms Policy: The Emerald Companions alliance works on a system of suggested CTA. Any GM or designated guild officer may suggest a CTA provided they can show that there is a necessity for it. The person calling the CTA must be prepared to tell the alliance the general situation, approximate enemy numbers, the place of rally and who hold the battle group. We realize that some people have a very difficult time with large scale RvR or are completely unable to participate do to computer related problems. We request that all able persons report to the frontier if a CTA is called but it is not mandatory. We trust that everyone will use their own good judgment.
Admission of Guilds to the Alliance: Potential guilds are required to meet the alliance before the Alliance Council votes on membership. We want to get to know you as best we can before a vote is called. For this reason, potential guilds are requested to join our alliance for an event. This allows us to meet you and you to meet us. We also strongly encourage you to group with our alliance members as often as you can. If your guild is interested in joining, you may post a request on the Public Alliance boards, and an alliance council member should respond swiftly. You can also speak with members of our alliance in game as well. A guild requires a unanimous Alliance Council vote to be accepted into the alliance.

Hallo!
Mirei Bowyer from the Band 'o' the Broken Bow here. Several months ago we chatted about mergin' our alliances to provide greater access to like minded folk for all of us. I would like to revisit that topic. Or, if that is unworkable, I would like to submit application for our merry Band to join with yours! I am generally available in Hibernia to discuss such things most evenings (EST) or replies can go to our message board, the courier address listed on our Herald page, or I will be following any conversation on the topic here. ::grins:: Looking forward to chattin' with ye soon!

hrm.. Mayhap sometime over the weekend...
If ya canna locate me personally, others who could cheerfully and authoritatively chat wi folks on the subject would be members of my clan, Ymbre, Araa, or Cliaranach, My co~guildmaster, that big galoot Hynafgwyr, or his wards Hyna or Ealla, or our Warleader Chiar, or his clanfolk, Osann, Finithnenda or Nuathnirse.
Lookin' forward ta sharin' a nip o' somethin' and some conversation, and hopefully some huntin' too after..

Hallo M'dear! Welcome to our Halls! I see ya found yer way well enough. 
We are an alliance based in good fellowship, teamwork and kindly attitudes toward each other. We support the given rules of our chosen land. (RPserver TOS)
I, for one, wonder what it is you're seeking in an alliance and what do you think makes this one a good choice for ya? That answer will help me and mebbe others to divine if we are on the same page here I think.

well what i look for in alliance is friends who help one another when it is asked for. An alliance is a band of guilds who are friendly and helpful at all times.
i also picked this alliance because i have had some good experiences with THE BAND OF THE BROKEN BOW.

Noticed today that this guild has joined another alliance, which explains the lack of response, and sort of seems to table this matter..
